BZ Desander and Desilter Introduction Drilling mud shale shaker, desander, desilter are the first phase big solids remove units, they all use a shaker as a bottom treating shaker unit. If there is 10 inch cyclone, then it is called desander; while it is fixed with 4 inch cyclone, then it is called desilter. Typically, BZ drilling mud desander can remove solids larger than 55 microns, and BZ drilling mud desilter can remove above 25 microns size solids. Hydro cyclone is feed by BZ made centrifugal pump, heavy solids fall along with the inside cyclone shell and fall on the shaker deck, while light and cleanr liquid overflow from the cyclones to the next storage tank. desander is the first step, while desilter is the second step.
